All those aspirants who want banking sector jobs must be aware of IBPS. IBPS is an organization which holds recruitments for various vacancies in public sector banks. Now before preparation and study plans we must know the procedure of recruitments for these jobs. Here in this article we are providing you the selection procedure for various posts of IBPS PO, SO, RRB PO and Clerical Cadre.   1. Selection Procedure for IBPS PO/MT:

                Selections procedure for probationary officers in various public sector banks is conducted by IBPS in three steps:

  • CWE (Common written Examination): The online examination for Probationary officers is held in two phases. All candidates who applied for the post of probationary officer are invited for the preliminary examination of 100 marks held by IBPS. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination are shortlisted for mains examination which has a weight age of 200 marks. Candidates who qualify both phases of IBPS PO CWE are shortlisted for Common Interviews.
  • Common Interviews: Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination for CWE PO/MT-V will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centers. The centre, address of the venue, time &date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorized IBPS website ibps.in
  • Provisional Allotment: After the completion of common interviews, candidates who qualify in interviews are allotted their jobs and branches according to the norms of IBPS and Government of India.

 2. Selection Procedure for IBPS Specialist Officers:

Selections procedure for specialist officers in various public sector banks is conducted by IBPS in three steps:

  • CWE(Common Written Examination): A common written examination is held of 200 marks for all candidates who apply for IBPS Specialist Officers post. Different specialist positions have different syllabus of examination. Unlike IBPS PO CWE this examination is held in single phase.
  • Common Interviews: Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination for CWE SPL will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centers.
  • Provisional Allotment: After the completion of common interviews, candidates who qualify in interviews are allotted their jobs and branches according to the norms of IBPS and Government of India.

 3.Selection Procedure for IBPS RRB PO: Selections procedure for probationary officers in Regional Rural Banks is conducted by IBPS in three steps:

  • CWE (Common Written Examination): A common written examination is held of 200 marks for all candidates who apply for IBPS RRB PO and Clerk. Different scale positions have different syllabus of examination. Unlike IBPS RRBPO CWE this examination is held in single phase. All students who qualify in the CWE are shortlisted for RRB Interviews.
  • Common Interview: Applicants who have been shortlisted in the examination for CWE- RRBs-IV will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted with the help of the designated Nodal Regional Rural Bank in each State/UT and coordinated by IBPS in consultation with the appropriate authority. Interviews will be conducted at select centers. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorized IBPS website ibps.in. The proficiency in local language will be tested at the time of interview. A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website.
  • Provisional Allotment: On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in as per the business needs of the RRBs and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the RRBs, based on merit-cum-preference and their proficiency in local language keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, various guidelines issued by Govt. of India/Others from time to time, administrative exigency, etc.

 4. Selection Procedure for IBPS Clerical Cadre:

Selections procedure for Clerical jobs in public sector banks is conducted by IBPS in three steps:

  •  CWE (Common written Examination): The online examination for IBPS Clerk exam is held in two phases. All candidates who applied for the post of probationary officer are invited for the preliminary examination of 100 marks held by IBPS. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination are shortlisted for mains examination which has a weight age of 200 marks. Candidates who qualify both phases of IBPS Clerk CWE are shortlisted for Common Interviews.
  • Common Interview: Students who have been shortlisted in the main examination for CWE Clerk Main exam will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State with the help of IBPS. Eligibility Criteria for the post of IBPS PO/MT:

  • Nationality:
  • Citizen of India or
  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan or
  • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

In month of December, IBPS organization will conduct IBPS Clerk CWE Pre exam on various allotted date in different examination centers. There are many students participating in IBPS CWE Clerk pre exam and main exam.
